We are on Laurel Road in East Northport, 11731. East Northport is a hamlet of about 20,000 people bordered by Northport to the north, Commack to the south, Greenlawn to the west and Fort Salonga to the east, with Larkfield Road as its main commercial spine. The Northport LIRR station, despite the name, physically sits in East Northport at Larkfield Road and Bellerose Avenue.

It is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and weekends 9am to 4pm, entry needs a free Town-issued permit, and the dog has to be licensed, spayed or neutered, current on rabies and at least four months old, with a maximum of two dogs per visit.
