Helpful Answers

Common Questions

Do you offer daycare or boarding in East Northport?

No — 16 Laurel Rd is grooming only. Daycare and overnight boarding both run from our Ronkonkoma salon at 835 Portion Rd, about 20 minutes south, open seven days a week.

What is included in a full dog groom?

A face and body trim, sanitary cut, complete bath, gentle blow dry, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw-pad care, anal gland care and teeth brushing.

Do I need an appointment for dog grooming in East Northport?

Yes for Full Service and Bath & Brush. Walk-in face trims, sanitary trims, nail trims, teeth brushing and ear cleaning need no appointment.

How long does dog grooming take?

A Full Service visit runs 1 to 1.5 hours depending on size and coat. A Bath & Brush runs 30 to 45 minutes. We do not rush dogs who need extra time.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Most dogs do well every 4 to 8 weeks. Long-haired breeds such as Poodles and Shih Tzus often need it sooner; many short-haired breeds can wait longer.

Can you groom nervous dogs?

Yes. Tell us when you book. Our groomers work slowly, use positive reinforcement and take breaks as often as a dog needs them.
